Join the recipe competition ''Ostrobothnia on the Plate''
Ostrobothnia is rich in flavorful ingredients produced by our skilled farmers. With a little creativity, any dish can be created from these ingredients. Österbottens Svenska Lantbrukssällskap and Regional Council of Ostrobothnia announce a recipe competition open to all food enthusiasts. The basic idea is to engage the people of Österbotten in creating innovative local food. Through the competition, the goal is to find a delicious, festive main course that represents Ostrobothnia.
Rules:
- The competition is open to individuals or families
- The competition period is 20.5.2024 – 7.7.2024.
- Each person or family can submit one recipe for a main course.
- The choice of ingredients is completely free, but at least 70% of the ingredients in the recipe must be of Ostrobothnian origin, and the main ingredient must be exclusively from Ostrobothnia.
- A selection of recipes will be made after the competition period, and the top six recipes will advance to a final round where a taste jury will judge them.
- A winner will be announced on Saturday, September 7, 2024, during Närmatsdagen 2024.
- If there is a story behind the dish you present, it is only a plus; an interesting story always enhances the overall experience a dish can offer to the consumer.
The recipe (including measurements and instructions), the story, a picture of the finished dish, and contact information should be sent as an attachment (PDF file) to info@kvarkenplate.fi with the subject "competition"
The winner will receive a Weber gas grill. Finalists will receive product prizes.
The organizer may use the recipes in various publications in the future.
